		<description>It&#039;s not as bad as it sounds... most are being updated when they would naturally be replaced anyway. Such as when there is a change of owner, keeper&#039;s name, or when the private registration number is amended. 
The rest are being done when the car is re-taxed or declared SORN - so only these are additional.
Don&#039;t know what numbers are involved though.

The new V5 also encourages potential buyers to check the ownership of the car when buying.</description>

I got a letter with the new v5 document that some old blue style ones were stolen so they have replaced the whole lot to avoid fraud.

Shudnt they be a little bit more responsible? printing and sending to millions of people new style document  (its costing who?)</description>
